Stenter brushes

We offer an extensive range of stenter brushes for all machine types. All our brushes are made in the U.K. or Germany and we believe they are the best quality stenter brushes money can buy. Our brushes are available in many different filaments depending on the customers application.

Our standard filament is the grey Calcutta natural bristle. It is of exceptional quality offering more pressure than our standard black China bristle. Other natural filaments include horsehair for more delicate fabrics when small amounts of pressure are needed.

J.W.Stead also offer a wide range of nylon filaments for increased pinning pressure on heavier fabrics. The standard nylon filaments are 0.4mm through to 0.7mm, but we can produce up to 1.5mm for special applications.

Additionally, we also offer brushes in various metal filaments such as stainless steel and bronze wire for strong pressure or cleaning applications.

We can also hand-fill brushes when there are no machine made options or when a specialist filament is required.

We can manufacture and repair most types of industrial brushes. These include roller brushes, strip brushes, floor cleaning brushes, washing/cleaning brushes etc. Brushes can be filled in synthetic, natural or metal materials to enable use in any application.

We also offer interlocking brush sections in all materials which enable only worn sections to be replaced. The design of this system gives a gap-free brush surface. This brush system can be manufactured to fit on any shaft or body our customers may have.
